This year’s Hook Symposium theme is “Be Ready”.
“Be Ready,” will focus on today’s warfighters and current capabilities. Attendees can plan to attend top‑notch marquee panels and briefs that will highlight key components of carrier aviation that ensure their ability to fight and win against any adversary in any location.
The Phoenix POD stands out as the most effective solution for JTAC training with Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS). Unlike other sensor systems, the Phoenix POD offers a significant advantage as a fully integrated, off-the-shelf sensor and communications module. It requires no modifications to the aircraft and provides tactical communications capabilities that closely simulate operational systems. This ensures that trainees are fully prepared for real-world missions and can transition smoothly to operational systems.
Designed to be mounted on existing aircraft equipped with 14” NATO pylons, the Phoenix POD delivers long-range, day-and-night surveillance and real-time air-to-ground communications without any aircraft modifications. At Tailhook 2024, attendees will have the opportunity to inspect and explore the capabilities of the Phoenix POD.
The Phoenix POD has been prominently featured at leading defence and aerospace events globally, such as the Farnborough International Airshow, Eurosatory, INDO PACIFIC International Maritime Exposition, World Defense Show, Hunter Defence Conference, AVALON 2023 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition, and SOF WEEK 2023.
