Cutting-edge training technology for the ADF

Developed by SiNAB, our JTAC training solution provides Defence with a world-leading targeting and communications system to facilitate training requirements.. It’s the most innovative solution on the market for contract close air support (CAS) and JTAC training.

By emulating the close air support capability of aircraft such as the F/A-18A/B, the Phoenix JTAC Training Solution (PJTS) enables training aircraft, such as the T-6B and Hawk, as well as a range of civil registered ex-military aircraft types to deliver effective training to JTAC students without aircraft modification.

The PJTS can emulate long-range target locating, weapon aiming/deployment systems and live air-to-ground aircraft communications of aircraft such as the F/A-18A/B.

What's included

The PJTS consists of the following functional sub-systems:

PHOENIX POD

Lightweight targeting pod with EO/IR sensor, laser, mission computer and Wi-Fi communications to cockpit

PHOENIX COCKPIT

A pilot operated Human Machine Interface (HMI) which emulates the sensor control and weapon-aiming capabilities of Close Air Support Aircraft (CAS) without permanently modifying the aircraft

PHOENIX GROUND STATION

Ground-based constructor monitoring and control system (UAS mode)
