SiNAB to join Indo-Pacific defence leaders at Irregular Warfare Symposium

The Indo-Pacific continues to be a key focus for defence cooperation, capability development and allied partnerships.

Later this month, SiNAB will be part of those important conversations at the Indo-Pacific Irregular Warfare Symposium, taking place in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 18–20 August 2026.

Hosted by the Global SOF Foundation, the symposium brings together global Special Operations Forces, government, industry and academic leaders from across the Indo-Pacific to discuss the evolving operational environment, emerging capability priorities and the partnerships required to address them.

Representing SiNAB will be Brigadier Mark Smethurst, DSC, AM (Retd), who also serves on the Global SOF Foundation Advisory Board. His attendance reflects SiNAB’s ongoing commitment to engaging with defence leaders, operational users and industry partners across the region.

For SiNAB, participation is about remaining closely connected to the organisations and people at the forefront of these discussions. Listening to end users, understanding evolving operational priorities and building trusted partnerships are fundamental to delivering capability that meets real-world operational needs.

If you’re attending the Indo-Pacific Irregular Warfare Symposium, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect with Brigadier Mark Smethurst, DSC, AM (Retd), during the event. Please contact the team at enquiries@sinab.com to arrange a meeting.
